Technical Product Manager

Remote (West Coast Resident Only)

We are Open Raven, a cloud and data security startup with a product DNA that was founded in 2019 by two security industry veterans that have previously been acquired and taken companies public. We are backed by Kleiner Perkins, staffed by seasoned product managers and engineers and we’re seeking like-minded people to join our growing team.

We are looking for a technical product manager who will design and manage product features. The role reports to the co-founder and Chief Product Officer. We especially love candidates who are passionate about commercial open source products and working with the open source and security communities.

The Role

Working with the CPO you will design and develop technical specifications for product features. You will be assigned specific areas of ownership such as AWS or GCP discovery, open-policy agent rules, product integrations  or product reporting.

You will work with the user experience team to design screens and workflows to meet the technical specifications, turning a technical design into an end to end functional design, documenting interactions and actions.

You will work with engineering during implementation, making sure the team clearly understands the specifications, together deal with questions and design changes where necessary and ensure the feature is built to the high quality we demand.

You will listen to feedback from customers and use product telemetry to understand how the feature is performing and can be improved.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar previous role working on B2B enterprise products is essential.
  • Previous experience at a fast paced early stage startup is desirable.
  • Previous experience at a security vendor is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work successfully with minimal supervision in a distributed team environment.
  • All applicants must be US Citizens or US Green Card holders currently residing in the Pacific or Mountain time zones. Being prepared to work on those time zones is not an option.
